We are the only public university in the Podbeskidzie region. As an institution with over 50 years of tradition, we not only educate students, but also conduct research. We are currently creating a qualified team of staff, which is required to ensure UBB's steady development.

The university has developed as a result of the transformation of the Akademia Techniczno-Humanistyczna (formerly a branch of the Łódź University of Technology) and is currently the only public academic research center in the Podbeskidzie region. Bielsko-Biała is a unique place to live.
